TOTO – TOTO automatic taps no longer need power from the electrical outlet. The energy from the flowing water is used to charge a battery that powers the tap, making an external power source unnecessary.
A generator converts the energy from the flow of water to supply the microsensor with power. The integrated sensor registers hand-movement in order to dispense the exact amount of water needed.
The sensor-based automatic system means that users no longer need to touch the taps in order to use them. This keeps public washrooms in particular more hygienic and minimizes the risk of transmitting bacteria.
